The Market is the largest, most diverse producer-only farmers' market in the greater Charlotte area. All food and other market products, except fish, are grown, raised or made within 50 miles of Matthews.​ You buy directly from the local producer - the person who grew it, raised it or made it - allowing you to make a direct connection with the source of your food and build a relationship with the person or farm family who grows it. You'll find lots of freshly harvested produce, naturally raised meats, handcrafted cheeses, fresh eggs, local honey, plants, baked goods, specialty prepared foods and hand-crafted items. But, it's more than a farmers' market. For 27 years it has provided a lively community gathering place in historic downtown Matthews to shop, nibble, relax and meet your neighbors.
